The FX Pocket Chrono V2 velocity meter is a compact and very easy-to-use chronograph that works with Doppler radar, similar to a laser gun. The Doppler effect is based on transmitting microwaves that bounce back from a target. In this case, the target is the pellet. The frequency difference in the reflected signal allows the device to accurately estimate the speed at which the pellet is travelling.
Because it works with radar, this velocity meter can measure speed just as effectively in the dark as in daylight. Lighting conditions therefore make no difference, and it performs reliably in a wide range of shooting environments. The FX Pocket Chrono V2 measures speeds up to a maximum of 1250 FPS with high accuracy. A side-mounted LED lights up blue when a shot is detected.
The measured data can be viewed on a separately available FX chronograph display. However, using your smartphone may be even more convenient. With the free app, you can store rifle profiles and access a wide range of shot-related information. The FX Pocket Chrono V2 connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
With dimensions of just 50 x 39 x 60 mm and a weight of only 78 g, this velocity meter is compact and easy to carry or mount. It comes standard with a Weaver/Picatinny mount, making it easy to attach to an accessory rail. An alternative mounting option is also included, allowing you to secure it with elastic bands, for example around the objective of your riflescope. This ensures a secure fit on your rifle and provides consistently reliable results.
The FX Pocket Chrono V2 is equipped with a built-in lithium-ion battery that can easily be recharged using a USB-C cable. The USB-C port is protected beneath a rubber cover.
