Dark30 Defiance LT 384 PTZ Thermal Camera with 360° Vehicle Observation
The Dark30 Defiance LT 384 PTZ is a vehicle-mounted thermal imaging camera featuring a 384×288 thermal sensor, 17 μm pixel pitch and a NETD of less than 40 mK. The camera has been developed for hunters, wildlife managers and other users who want to thermally observe large areas from a vehicle without relying on a handheld thermal imaging device behind a vehicle window.
The PTZ camera can rotate continuously through 360° horizontally and move vertically from straight downward to 45° above the horizon. This allows the surroundings of the vehicle to be scanned from an elevated position. The 30mm germanium lens, 1 to 8× digital zoom and detection range of up to 1150 metres make the Defiance LT suitable for locating and tracking heat sources over longer distances.
The camera is combined with a 10.1-inch LCD screen and a wireless remote control with joystick. The direct HDMI connection helps minimise image delay. The aluminium housing, IP66 protection rating and 12V power supply make the system suitable for practical vehicle-mounted use during observation, wildlife management and hunting.
